Privacy Statement

CEO School Privacy Policy

The event organisers take great care with practices that affect personal privacy and the policy relating to this follows.

The event organisers, The Events Agency are co-ordinating the CEO School. In order to conduct the CEO School program, personal and business information is collected through various means:

• Online subscription form for the CEO School newsletter and CEO School updates,
• Online registration form for the CEO School program,
• Online registration form for the Bali retreat.

The event organizers do not sell personal information. Unless otherwise indicated on the online registration/subscription forms, the event organisers may disclose information collected on the form to partners of the CEO School for future promotional and marketing purposes. We may also disclose information to third party contractors and service providers who assist in the delivery of the CEO School program.

The event organizers hold the personal information collected in a secure database which is both physically and electronically secure. It is held in a professional hosting centre and protected behind firewalls and access to the data is only via authenticated web requests or via the user interface by an authenticated user. Should you wish to correct or change the information collected by the event organisers, please notify them of the change or correction by emailing. An email confirmation will be sent once the change or correction has been made.

Data that identifies the user can also be collected in the following circumstances:

Computer Information

It is a necessary part of visiting any web site, including the CEO School site, that the user’s web browser provides the machine’s identity (its IP address) to the web server, so that the server can address the reply to the correct machine. In addition, the browser type and operating system are provided.

Navigation and ClickStream Data

Browsing any web site, including the CEO School site, generates a trail of pages visited and the time apparently spent displaying each page.


We also manage some aspects of your connection to this web site using a facility called a cookie. This cookie identifies and recognises the computer (but not the person using the computer) when you visit some parts of the CEO School website.
Cookies are inert pieces of information that a web site can transfer to an individual’s computer hard drive for record keeping. Cookies cannot be shared with other web sites. Cookies can make using this site easier by storing information about your preferences.

Data Storage, Use and Disclosure, and Retention

All data described in the preceding section may be stored and archived for a period that is yet to be determined but is likely to be at least 12 months and quite probably seven years. Unless stated otherwise, the data is used by the event organisers and the CEO School and by staff involved in the website operation only for:
• Web site and system administration, including monitoring to prevent security breaches;
• customisation of the Web site to the user’s needs; and
• evaluation, research and development.

Identified data can only be re-disclosed to the user if the user provides the unique request session number. Personally identified data may be disclosed to a third party only in circumstances in which such disclosure is legally authorised, such as in the investigation of a criminal offence, and in compliance with a search warrant or subpoena.

Users 16 and Under

If you are aged 16 or under, get your parent or guardian’s permission before you provide personal information to the CEO School web site. Users without this consent are not allowed to provide us with personal information.
